Georgina Imberger
CHAIR
Georgie is the co-founder of Piano Project and has been the chair of the charity since its inception in 2015. She owns and manages Tempo Rubato, which is a live classical music venue in Brunswick. Tempo Rubato donates its profits to Piano Project. She works as an anaesthetist at Western Health and she likes plants, animals and oceans.

Erica Martin
SECRETARY
Erica is the co-founder of Piano Project and has been the secretary of the charity since its inception in 2015. She is an active and diverse consumer of live music. She is a senior financial and commercial lawyer for a US listed company and likes mountains, rosé and witty puns.

Sinéad DeGooyer
TREASURER
Sinéad has been on the board of Piano Project since its inception in 2015. She became the Treasurer in 2019. She is a rural GP in Gippsland, was a director and past Chair of Gippsland Primary Health Network and has held further board positions in both the health and diary sectors. She likes good books, good conversations and good peppermint tea.

Ellen Day
BOARD MEMBER
Ellen started volunteering at Pizzicato Effect in 2017. She learnt how to help tune the cellos and then started learning the cello alongside the students. In 2023, when Pizzi separated from the MSO, Ellen played a pivotal role in transforming Pizzi into an independent organisation. Since then, Ellen has continued to support the program in the role of volunteer program coordinator. She joined the board of Piano Project in January 2026.

Stephanie MacArthur
BOARD MEMBER
Steph joined Pizzi in 2021 and has contributed significantly to the program as a lead teaching artist and team leader, including through its transition to an independent organisation. She is a cellist with over 30 years' experience teaching strings, and is a Lecturer in Music (Performance Teaching) at The University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on music learning and helping learners thrive through musicianship. She is a big fan of her family, pets and the beach.
